Viola Granucci was born in Florence in 1983, currently lives and works between Florence and Greve in Chianti. For many years she has collaborated with her sculptor father, Sandro Granucci. Since 2003 she studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, she graduated in 2008 specializing in sculpture and photography.
The sculpture refines the use of Tuscan terracotta and bronze. In 2006 she won a prize with purchase at the “XXIV Sculpture Biennial of Gubbio“, participated in several group shows, her works have been exhibited from 2004 until today in various galleries of contemporary art.
At the same time, she studied photography, an important passion that led her to carry out two photographic projects abroad during the Academy years. In 2006 she participated in the “Outside Project Beograd Workshop” in Serbia where she took a series of photographs on the identity / non-identity of Gypsies children and orphans of an institution. In 2007 she won a scholarship for MCAD, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, USA, where she attended the school of sculpture and photography making photographic shots on American multicultural identity.
Subsequently, she created several projects, including in 2012 “Scatti d’immaginario” exhibited in the solo exhibition, Young space, Galleria Tornabuoni Florence. 2015 Permanent installation of the iron work “Equilibrium” Park “Wood of the Sugame sculptures”. 2017 Permanent installation of iron work “future woman”, Greve in Chianti public park.

- 2003 “Innesti Doc”, exhibition dedicated to young artists in the context of Tuscia Electa, International Review of Contemporary Art, Panzano in Chianti.
- From 2004 to 2009 she exhibited the works at the “Ken’s Art Gallery”, Florence.
